Beyonce and Jay Z have maintained their relationship low-profile ever since they began dating 15 years ago. However, every news or appearance of the music’s First Family is accompanied by much fuzz and fascination. From smash collaborations to infidelity rumors, the fierce couple really has had a diverse relationship.
Today, Beyonce and Jay-Z’s net worth goes beyond $1.16 billion. And, as their family recently grew for two members, the Carters have decided to get a larger home where they will enjoy the perks of parenting. After a continuous search, they’ve dropped $26 million for an opulent mansion in the Hamptons that fits just fine in the lifestyle of a billionaire power couple.
The 12,000 square-foot estate is located on an elevated site with a 203-feet of direct water space on the Georgica Pond.
Designed by Stanford White, the 100-year-old property has seven bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms and sits next to 17-acre meadow preserve.
The estate was renovated and updated by Jeffrey Colle. However, the mansion was subjected to more modification as the previous owner decided to rotate the entire structure 90 degrees, so the living room faces West, taking up the optimal sunset views.
The mansion combines custom design and hand-milled woodwork, while bathrooms are sculpted with marble imported from Verona, Italy. The patina-matched tubes, counters, and tiles are designed and made by single stone blocks by European master craftsmen.
The guest cottage is spread on 1,800 square-foot and includes a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, a living room and a bath.
In the past years, Beyonce and Jay-Z were renting properties in the Hamptons, and now they own probably the most lavish one. At the moment, they own also a smaller property in New Orleans and New York’s Tribeca neighborhood.
